BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung & Yeontan illustrated in Ghibli style by ‘real artist’ amid AI-generated trend: ‘This is what we should hype’

BTS’ V, aka Kim Taehyung, and his dog Yeontan have been illustrated in the iconic Ghibli style by a talented artist, standing out amidst the ongoing AI-generated art trend. This reimagining comes at a time when the internet is buzzing with AI-generated images that mimic the vibrant and whimsical world of Studio Ghibli films, created by the legendary Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki.
As AI-generated art continues to rise in popularity, it has sparked a significant debate between real art and AI creations on social media. While AI-generated pieces can replicate Ghibli’s style, this fan’s hand-drawn reimagining of Taehyung is being lauded by BTS fans, aka ARMYs, for adding the essence of human artistry.
Artist illustrates V and Yeontan in Ghibli style
On March 30, an individual who went by the handle @Bwidasein took to X to share an image of BTS member V along with his late pet dog Yeontan, who passed away last year, in Ghibli style. The user, in his caption, mentioned, “Did someone say Taehyung in #GhibliStyle but instead of made by IA, made by a real artist? …that’s me; I’m the “real artist”.
The picture shows V, dressed in a two-piece suit with a baseball cap, holding Yeontan in his lap. The original photo of V has been taken from his shoot for his maiden album, Layover. Take a look at the beautiful piece of art below:

One fan commented on the post, “Thank you for your priceless work. AI could never replicate real art or replace real artists no matter who it stole from. I’m sure Tae would love it. Have you posted on Weverse? We’ll cheer it!!”!

About V’s pet dog Yeontan
For those who may not know, Yeontan, the beloved dog of BTS’ V, sadly passed away last year. V himself shared the heart-wrenching news on December 2, 2024, through a heartfelt post on his Instagram stories.
“Time flies, and it’s already December,” V began, according to a translation by Soompi. “Actually, the reason I’m writing this post today is that recently, Yeontan has embarked on a long journey to the dog stars. I thought a lot about how to tell you this, but I felt it was right to share this news with ARMY, who have shown so much love for Yeontan.”
