C-Drama actress Zheng Shuang accused of affair—Allegedly a wealthy man’s mistress and pregnant

Since rising to stardom, there has not been a day Zheng Shuang has not made headlines—but for the wrong reasons. The controversy-ridden actress is once again in the news, this time over allegations of being a wealthy man’s mistress and allegedly carrying his child.

Zheng, who debuted in 2009 through the Chinese remake of Meteor Shower, quickly rose to fame. She became the youngest actress to receive a Best Actress nomination at the 25th China TV Golden Eagle Awards. However, her once-promising career took a dramatic turn in 2021 due to a surrogacy scandal.

Zheng Shuang in controversy again

Now, in 2025, new allegations have surfaced. According to reports, Zheng is accused of being the mistress of a wealthy American businessman. The claims were allegedly made by the businessman’s own son, who stated that she is just one of his father’s many mistresses and is currently pregnant with his child, Koreaboo stated.

Zheng, however, was quick to deny these allegations on Chinese social media apps like Weibo. She asserted that she was financially independent and was not expecting a child. She addressed the rumours by sharing her own pictures in an attempt to prove her claims. However, netizens were skeptical, as the photos were not full-body images, leaving room for speculation.

Zheng Shuang took to Weibo to address the rumours

Adding fuel to the fire, Zheng previously admitted to facing financial difficulties this year. This revelation only intensified rumors that she may be involved with a wealthy man for financial security.

Zheng Shuang’s past

In the past, her ex-boyfriend had revealed that the couple had two children via surrogacy in the United States. He further alleged that Zheng attempted to abandon the children after their relationship ended and had even tried to force late-term abortions but was prevented by US laws. The revelation caused immense public outrage, as surrogacy is illegal in China and widely condemned.

The same year, Zheng faced additional legal trouble when she was accused of tax evasion. She was later fined and effectively blacklisted from the Chinese entertainment industry. Since then, she is said to have kept a low profile, reportedly residing in the United States.
